  1. Nice place in the mountains just 1.5 hours away from LA. Great for snowplay, hiking, and change of scenery and fresh air. Neighborhood is quiet and our little girl loved sledding in front yard. House is fully stocked with plenty of room.

  2. Perfect cabin for families with pets. Convenient location, loved the double shower heads in the upstairs bathroom. Cabin inside was very clean and spacious- outside needed a little TLC, but it didn’t take away the good memories we made over the weekend. So many movies/loved the movie room & we enjoyed the fireplace as well. We would definitely go back again.

  3. My fiancé and I stayed at Beau Chateau for a couple nights and really enjoyed it. We brought our 2 dogs and it was very nice and comfortable for us. Carolyn was welcoming and accommodating. We would love to stay here again in the future.

  4. Beau Chateau was just as described and Carolyn was very responsive to several questions. The WiFi worked great and was appreciated. They’re not kidding about lots of DVD’s available! Towels and bath rugs are thick and soft, an easy way to get lots of stars from me 🙂 Keypad checkin is convenient and location is very quiet. Thanks to both Carolyn and the owners.

  5. I love the area around the cabin. Wooded, private area. There is no Verizon cell signal in this one spot. We had lived in PMC for 10yrs so nothing else was a surprise. Lots of legos for kiddos or adults. Lots of movies. Plenty of space.

  6. The house is very easy to find and it’s sits at the top of the hill so you can see more of the area around you. It was neat to see snow up in the mountains. The rooms were a big size and they had tons of blankets. The fire place is a must. The first night we fell asleep on the couches because we were so warm and comfortable. The location is also great because down the hill is the market, bakery and restaurants. We even got to meet the mayor and ex-mayor. Such a fun trip.

  7. Carolyn’s place is a wonderful place to get away from everyday life and just unplug and rebond with your family. The cabin has everything you will need and communication is great. Once you check-in there is a Welcome folder with great suggestions of where to go hiking. We also made use of the movie room.

  8. Awesome place to stay if you’re looking to get away for the weekend! Thank you so much ! My family made some great memories in the snow

  9. The place is cozy, Carolyn is very responsive and kind and allowed us to check out at 1pm rather than 11am. Would stay again!

  10. Carolyn’s cabin is located in a great area near Pine Mountain. We arrived there later in the evening and found the location very easily. It is located in a scenic area of Pine Mountain, which is a great escape from the metro LA area. We found check in to be easy. The beds are incredibly comfortable with good pillows and linens. However, the next morning, we had to unexpectedly cut our trip short, and we were not able to enjoy all that the cabin had to offer like the expansive DVD and VHS collection, local restaurants, and outdoor activities. Carolyn was extremely responsive and helpful.

  11. Very comfortable stay at the cabin! We enjoyed preparing meals in the kitchen, finding plenty of kitchen supplies. Pellet stove and fireplace kept the two living spaces warm. Lots of games and movies to choose from. Two decks were nice to hang on in the morning/afternoon sun. A little bit of snow on the ground in late February, we walked to the lovely Enchanted Forest Trail. A bit farther of a walk (down a steep hill) and we walked into town for pizza and beer. No WiFi or signal for Verizon, as the host let us know ahead of time, a nice chance to unplug

  12. Beautiful well-appointed home nestled into a hillside in close walking proximity to a trail leading to a creek and waterfall and the lush forest.

  13. Carolyn’s home was packed full of amenities, games and entertainment. Super clean and cozy, too. She gave great tips for local hiking spots and viewpoints. We had such a lovely weekend. Thank you!”

  14. Carolyn was very responsive and helped us fix some electrical outage issue late in the night. She rushed over immediately and provided alternative solution. The house is in a beautiful locality with lot of privacy. The kitchen is well equipped with all the amenities that you might need for preparing meals. Bathrooms were very clean as well. Common areas could have used little bit more dusting. Just awareness for future guest the trash of you have to dispose off driving 15 min to a location and have to separate out recyclables that might take time. Overall pleasant experience and I would recommend staying here.

  15. Carolyn’s cabins are beautiful, quiet, and a great option for enjoying the beauty of Los Padres National Forest.”

  16. Carolyn went above and beyond to make our stay at PMC a wonderful and relaxing experience. Her properties are top notch and extremely clean. I look forward to booking again with Carolyn in the near future.

  17. Carolyn was a very good host. She was quick to answer questions and clarify everything for us. We would recommend her for sure!”

  18. Since the lockdown started in March, I’ve been dreaming of a few days in the mountains and we finally got to do it. Carolyn is a great host – prompt communication and a genuinely nice person. The cabin was very clean and cozy but with more than enough space to spread out when we wanted to. My eight year old daughter loved the play structure, dvd selection, and toys and didn’t want to leave. My husband and I loved the quiet, clean air, and serenity. We also especially enjoyed the two decks.

  19. Great stay! Quiet neighborhood with plenty birds around. I suggest you download a map for offline use. I use GoogleFi as my phone carrier and had no signal. There is a hike within walking distance of the cabin as well as others nearby that are detailed in a welcome folder-you must drive to these. Remember this is also 5,000ft elevation and higher so you may feel a bit out of breath if you aren’t used to elevation. For OHV enthusiasts there are a few trails nearby as well. I took my sick 4runner with my entire family up the fire trail to San Emigdio Mountain then took a solo trip up one of the roads to Tecuya Mountain as well as the OHV up Lockwood Creek Trail. I used Gaia GPS and downloaded the map and routes.

  20. The Two Girls House was fabulous. Clean, quiet, fully stocked, comfortable, just the place to go to get away from it all. The check in was smooth. Friendly welcome. The two decks were used, as one would be in the shade, the other in the sunlight. BBQ was so easy. Lots (& lots) of room. Totally enjoyable! Exceeded our expectations. Will come back soon! ~~Tim and Margo Smith

  21. Beautiful spot and wonderfully cozy cabin! Plenty of space for 6 people, with a great kitchen, BBQ and hang out area, and lots of movies to watch while taking a break from being connected to the outside world. We loved the nearby hiking and town. Carolyn was a wonderful host and made our stay everything we could have hoped for!

  22. My family and I had a great time at this mountainside cabin. The location is perfect for playing in the snow. Very secluded, very quiet. House is fully stock with everything you could possibly need, from snow sleds to coffee filters. The pellet stove kept us nice and cozy! The hiking trails up the hill at Enchanted Forest were an excellent place to explore after the snow storm. While all the other cabins had barely any snow, this one had tons.
